Artisan Sourdough

Our sourdough is made with our strong active starter Dolly, and fermented for 24-36 hours to give the perfect flavor & nutritional benefits. We offer a variety of flavors from jalapeño cheddar, to cinnamon sugar, and seasonal offerings.

“Dolly” Dehydrated Starter

Dolly is our active sourdough started, she is dehydrated for 9 hours and ready for re-hydration and baking within 4 days.

Our Roots

Gooey, Stuffed Cookies.

Downtown Dough began as a small cookie business in the Capital Region of New York, and has since expanded to Long Island. Founded by two sisters, Jackie (28) and Kristin (24), the business first introduced its oversized specialty cookies amidst the start of COVID in 2020.

From Albany to Melville, we focus on crafting large, gooey, stuffed cookies made with locally sourced, high-quality ingredients. Each cookie weighs a hefty 6-7 ounces and is packed with flavor. Our eggs come from Greenlawn, and our extracts are made in Schenectady. We are committed to supporting and collaborating with local businesses to show our community support.

Having launched our business in the midst of a pandemic, we are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support and positive feedback we've received. In addition to our cookies, we’ve recently expanded into artisan sourdough production.
